Maj Davenport is an Intermediate Level Education (ILE) Fellow at the Institute for Future Conflict at the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Space Force officer with 18 years of military experience. Davenport is deputy director of the Eisenhower Center for Space and Defense Studies, enabling academic research to equip present and future leaders with the intellectual tools necessary to understand and master the challenges of the space domain.

Davenport has served in both subordinate components of the United States Space Command, including Joint Task Force-Space Defense, and Combined Forces Space Component Command. As an ILE Fellow, he is conducting research which explores adapting the Civil Reserve Air Fleet model to the space domain, known as the Commercial Augmentation Reserve Fleet. Davenport is projected to start as the Director of Operations on the 3rd Space Operations Squadron in the summer of2024.
