Major Christopher Kuennen is a Chief of Staff of the Air Force PhD Fellow in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Colorado Boulder. His research focuses on virtue ethics and just war theory, especially applied to normative issues around autonomous weapon systems, human enhancement, and environmental stewardship. His writing has appeared in Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence, the Journal of Character & Leadership Development, and Joint Force Quarterly. Major Kuennen is a 2016 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy.
